News | An evening of fun and food.
Over fifty members and their friends (which included three children,) attended a very informal and friendly evening at Greens Hotel in Woburn Sands on 4th November. After a relaxing welcoming drink Philip Menday then served soup followed by 'Bangers and Mash.'
A version of 'Call my bluff' was then chaired by the President, with 'liars' provided by Jan Lloyd, Glenn Chapman and Douglas Campbell. Their effors were 'judged' by each table to decide which was the correct answer. Table 7 managed nine out of ten correct answers, and they were rewarded with very sticky toffee apples. Needless to say there were suggestions that 'high technology' had been used to assist them! All of the other tables enjoyed a bowl of 'remember me' sweets.
A good evening was had by all.
