Club Admin
Club Admin committee has a wide role covering finance, the programme of meetings and events, requests from members seeking leave of absence, ensuring club protection and health and safety, contact with friends of the Club, the work of the almoner and assorted admin matters. It meets after a regular lunchtime meeting once in most months and reports to Club Council by way of minutes.
Finance is in the capable hands of Treasurer Alex Gamberini, assisted by Simon Gill.
The sports and social programme is under the control of Glenn Chapman. Details of the plans can be seen in the Club Diary pages - Diary . Our aim is to have a social event open to family and friends most months.
Also in the Club Diary are details of regular events such as the Christmas dinner, the Swimathon launch dinner and the President’s Night.
Most months we have two lunchtime meetings where we have a speaker. John Napleton has the task of finding interesting speakers covering a range of topics.
Selected items from our diary include –
13th February We will be joined for lunch by members of the Rotary Club of Bletchley
29th February We are visiting Cameron’s Brasserie in Stony Stratford for a ‘Leaping Supper’ on this extra day of the year.
10th March This is the date for our big fundraising event, the annual Swimathon. For more information go Swimathon
12th March David Foster from the MK Parks Trust will be talking to us about ‘MK’s Best Kept Secret’.
Most importantly our role is to –
Ø Listen to what members tell us and react appropriately.
Ø React to changes in an effective and meaningful way.
Ø Be innovative where it makes sense.
