Swimathon 2012 | Disabled Event
The Middleton swimming pool, Newport Pagnell, hosted the disabled swimming event on the 25th of February 2012. This event enabled members of the disabled swimming club to take part in the Club’s main fund raising event of the year. The swimmers were welcomed by Wendy Egan, Mayor of Newport Pagnell, and Club President Christine Schimmel. Wendy also 'blew off' with a strong whistle blast to start the event. A total of forty two swimmers took part, pledging to raise over £1700 in sponsorship. A fantastic achievement. Click on pictures below for an enlarged image.           |
