MK railway station gets a defibrillator from MK Rotary Club
The mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Steve Coventry, his wife Leanne, Rotary Past District Governor, Paul Denton, District Governor, Chalmers Cursley, MK Rotary President David Biles and other Rotarians met at MK railway station today for the official presentation of a defibrillator to station manager, Matthew Pateman.
This device, which gives a high-energy electric shock to someone who is in cardiac arrest, is now located by the turnstiles for emergency use by trained railway staff, supported by the Community Heartbeat Trust charity who will oversee the service. The Mayor said: “I hope this will help to save lives in our community.”
