The Mayor, of Milton Keynes, Councillor Steve Coventry and the Mayoress Ms Liane Laceys are supporting the work of the Rotary Interact club of Milton Keynes Academy.
Interact President, 16 year old, Nancy Kallon (right) spoke to the Rotary club of Milton Keynes, introducing fellow Interactor, 13 year old, Chloe Felton, who is leading the club's charity project for 2016/17.
After Christmas, Chloe is intending to have 12 inches cut from her beautiful, long hair for a very deserving charity, Little Princess Trust, who tailor-make real hair wigs for children, who have lost their hair through chemotherapy. Children's wigs are usually very expensive and 'off-the-peg'. Little Princess Trust custom make the wigs through highly experienced wig makers and give them away free of charge.
The Interact club are supporting Chloe's generosity by raising money for the charity over the next few months. Their President Nancy started them off by hand making and icing a special Rotary cake which was raffled at the club meeting, raising £41."
