A Memorable Big Family Christmas Celebration

MK Satellite Club saw the pinnacle of their first year’s project – the BFC (Big Family Christmas.) – hosted at MK College with 49 specially invited children, accompanying parents, and almost 50 volunteers.

The college catering staff gave their time free, starting work at 7 am on Christmas Eve with management staff meeting and greeting our guests and keeping everyone safe. Volunteers drove guests to and from the party and
served as table hosts. We had a DJ, play specialists, and, of course, Santa!

 

Tickets for Young Musician of the Year 2018

Peter Kiddle has 20 tickets for the Milton Keynes Secondary Schools Young Musician of the Year, which takes place on Weds 7th February at Ousedale school at 6.30 pm.
These tickets will be available at the next Rotary Lunch on the 8th January,  so anyone who would like to go should make sure they are able to bring cash or reserve the Tickets for them.
Our main interest as a Club is to sponsor the winners for the next round.

Swimathon Launch 15th January 2018

The Rotary Club of Milton Keynes will launch its Swimathon 2018 on Monday 15 January 2018 .

The Interact Club Induction of President and New Members

On 14th December 2017, at The Milton Keynes Academy, Chloe was inducted as Interact President by Iola Samuels, Rotary District lead for Interact.

Let the flowers bloom!

On the first Saturday in December, ten Rotarians and two spouses spent the morning at Kilkenny House, planting a few trees, lots of flowering bushes, and many plants and bulbs. The bulbs included purple crocuses, Rotary International’s symbol for their campaign to eradicate polio.
