Swimathon 2012 | The Main Event

The Rotary Club of Milton Keynes held its annual Swimathon at Stantonbury Leisure Centre pool, on Saturday 10th March 2012.

288 swimmers swam a fantastic total of 6329 lengths. The team that swam the most lengths, (with only three swimmers as well,) was 'Buckingham Swans' who swam 178 length in the 55 minutes.

On the day those taking part pledged to raise over £20,000. It is now up to them to collect this money!
The 'Dead Ducks in the Water' team pledged to raise £1400.00.

How to contribute usiung Just Giving;

1. Go to the Just Giving website http://www.justgiving.com/
2. Click on the get started button and then on the make your own page button.
3. Fill in your details to create a JustGiving account. We suggest you create one account for the whole team giving the team name and number….this will enable all the team members to use the same page.
4. On the next page select the Rotary club of Milton Keynes Swimathon event which is listed by Just Giving.
5. Now choose a web address for your JustGiving page. This will probably be the address of the person setting it up but you can change this if you want.
If individual members of the team want to create their own page that is fine but remember to include the event name and your team name and number.
 It is essential we have the team details to be able to allocate sponsorship to the correct team.
