Rotary is an International Organisation that opens up a world of opportunities for individuals who wish to make a difference. The Membership Committee is there to communicate the benefits of membership and to support individuals seeking to join Rotary. We will provide the opportunity to discover what Rotary is about locally, nationally and globally.

We will welcome potential members by inviting them to meet other members face to face and to explore who we are and what we do. We will introduce you to the projects the Rotary Club of Milton Keynes both lead and support and help you to see where you can help make that difference.

Rotary is “a worldwide network of inspired men and women, who translate their passion into relevant social causes, to change lives in communities and form a global network of business, professional and community leaders who volunteer their time locally and around the world and form strong, lasting friendships in the process.”
Today’s world of business places increasing demands on the time of those involved:

  • improve performance and get results;
  • accept some measure of social responsibility;
  • broaden the horizons of one’s team;
  • staff development and training.

The Rotary Club of Milton Keynes has embraced Corporate Membership as a way of assisting organisations to achieve the above, offering local organisations, large or small, the opportunity to:

  • meet their corporate social responsibility;
  • become involved in the local community;
  • develop personal growth and development in their team;
  • make new contacts, both locally and abroad.

The Senior member of the organisation becomes a member of Milton Keynes Rotary Club, and is known as the Senior Corporate Member (SCM). The SCM then chooses three or four other members of staff, known as Associate Corporate Members (ACM) who attend Rotary club meetings and events, as best suits the organisation. For example, it can be by way of a rota, thus spreading the involvement and opportunity around the team. However, providing notice is given to enable lunches to be prepared on a Monday lunch-time, all Corporate members may attend together.
Milton Keynes Rotary Club meets weekly at the Holiday Inn, Central Milton Keynes, between 12.45 & 2pm. They also meet socially, on the first Thursday of each month, at the Inn on the Lake in Bletchley, 6.30-8pm. This is an ideal opportunity for the Senior member of the organisation to come along and meet us informally to chat about what Rotary can offer their organisation.
